Karan Joon is an engineering graduate and entrepreneur.

Karan began working in the engineering industry as an intern and then as a graduate with global construction giant Bechtel Corporation. In 2019, Karan decided to follow an entrepreneurial path and co-founded Voyak, an Australian accommodation booking platform.

Before study, Karan wanted to be an airline pilot. Due to a range of factors including health, he realised this would not be possible. Instead, Karan decided to study engineering at CQUniversity as he could do flight training and university study while staying in his hometown of Rockhampton.

Karan feels his engineering degree has helped his career in many ways. It has provided him with skills in technical understanding, designing and testing systems, building logic and questioning data.
