Tania Houwing

Tania Houwing is a Graduate Accountant at Deloitte Australia. Tania secured this role after completing the Deloitte Summer Vacation program in 2019.

Tania worked in the sleep science industry for many years, and completed an Applied Science degree at RMIT. After deciding on a career change to accounting, Tania selected CQUniversity to study with as the Master of Professional Accounting is accredited with CPA Australia and Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.

Tania enjoys the variety of her career in accounting. Every day is different, and she has worked in many teams, with a variety of clients and work. Her role involves sitting in on meetings, testing, and visiting clients on-site from the Sunshine Coast to the Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia.

Tania feels her degree has given her a foundation of understanding for her current role and explains the broader view of what she is doing and why she is doing it. Her work is all about assertions, and without her degree, she believes the concept would be difficult to understand.
