Whilst I had extensive experience in executive management roles in not-for-profit, community based disability, health and welfare organisations, the knowledge and skills I gained through my studies with CQU gave me the confidence and made me eligible to apply for the position of CEO with Burdekin Solutions Ltd, the designated Regional Natural Resource Management body for the Burdekin Dry Tropics Region.

I gained that position which I filled until mid 2010, when I then applied for and gained the equivalent position as CEO with Cape York Natural Resource Management Ltd, the Regional NRM body for Cape York. I attribute my success in these positions to the understanding I gained In studying systems and sustainability.
