Patrycja Sznajder

After earning my Bachelor of Engineering in Engineering Studies and Forest Sciences from Poland, I began my professional journey with a strong foundation in environmental sciences and engineering principles. I further honed my expertise by pursuing a Master of Project Management from CQUniversity in Brisbane, which equipped me with critical skills in leadership, strategic planning, and project execution.

Since graduation, I have worked in various roles, including as a bookkeeper, where I developed meticulous organisational skills and financial acumen. Although this role was outside my primary field of study, it allowed me to strengthen my analytical capabilities and attention to detail, qualities that are invaluable in the environmental sector. One of the most rewarding aspects of my career has been the opportunity to combine technical knowledge with a passion for sustainability. I have actively sought opportunities to apply my engineering and project management background to environmental challenges. For instance, I have engaged in projects focusing on forestry, water resources, and environmental conservation, aiming to make a tangible impact on communities and ecosystems.

A Master of Project Management offered the perfect blend of skills to complement my engineering background. Studying at CQUniversity provided me with a flexible course structure and support for international students I needed, and the opportunity to study in a city like Brisbane, with its vibrant community and proximity to natural resources resonated with my personal and professional interests.

Professionally, my highlights include completing my master's degree while adapting to a new cultural and professional environment in Australia. Personally, I take pride in my ability to persevere and continue building a career in the environmental industry despite challenges. My long-term goal is to contribute to sustainable forestry, environmental restoration, and water resource management through innovative and impactful engineering solutions.
