Before CQU I was studying at JCU but I fell pregnant and was unable to continue with the on-campus learning mode, so I swapped to CQU. CQU provided the quality distance education needed to raise a young family and still complete my studies. It also allowed me to work in various retail roles to support my family and continue my personal development.

I have now graduated from CQU twice. I completed my Bachelor of Medical Science in 2020 and my Master of Teaching in 2023. I began my career as a teacher whilst also completing my teaching degree with a local high school. I completed my permission to teach role in 2023 and continued on at my current school (Northern Beaches State High School) as a science and HPE teacher.

My job as a teacher involves planning lessons, differentiating learning for various learners needs, engaging with students, teaching and continuing to engage in ongoing learning and professional development to improve my knowledge and skills in my areas.
