Anna Klawe
I was the Station Director of a community radio station under the National Broadcasting Network of Papua New Guinea but found it challenging to manage the operations financially. I wanted to learn how the station could create and generate revenue to complement our government funding. This prompted me to further my education in Australia under the Australian Awards Scholarship Program. After much research on various institutions, I settled on CQU due to its status in the fields of business management.
Since graduating I have involved in a lot of roles and responsibilities apart from my continuing career as Director of Wewak provincial radio and television programming. I was appointed to the Provincial Education Board as a board member contributing to the educational developments in the region. I am also in the charity organisation Wewak Rotary Community Corps (President in 2023) doing a lot of community projects assisting schools and other areas in need.Â
The degree helped me tremendously to be a strategic thinker in management - identifying issues and solving them in a timely manner amid challenging times in Papua New Guinea.
