Amanda Augustine

I chose CQU because it was one of the few universities offering a fully online learning experience, which was helpful for a fly-in, fly-out (FIFO) worker. The IT Manager where I was working saw that I had potential, and encouraged me to pursue a degree to open up future career opportunities.

After graduating, I worked for Incitec Pivot, BHP and Origin Energy in Information & Data Management roles that included everything from change workflows in engineering document control to data governance and managing complex data migrations. I now work for Boeing Australia on digital transformation projects doing everything from business analysis and stakeholder engagement to agile solution development and data modelling.

My degree set the foundation by giving me a broad understanding of just how wide-reaching IT is. It also helped me discover a love of discovery - sort of like lifelong learning, but not quite.
