Before completing my degree with CQUniversity, I was working for the Department of Human Services while studying part-time. I had two children and wanted a job that allowed for me to be home with my children during school holidays so chose a degree in education.

Since graduation I have been working as a secondary teacher for the Department of Education. It is my job to ensure that Australian children have access to the latest version of the Australian Curriculum through a full years worth of meaningful teaching an learning. I am a trained classroom profiler; beginning teachers mentor; Professional Learning Team Facilitator; Program Coordinator (Indigenous Leadership Program); Social Club President (Staff Wellbeing focus). I have a website and Instagram page that I created to support and mentor new, beginning and practicum teachers.
