Overview

This online micro-credential will provide CQUniversity staff and researchers (including research students) with evidence to meet external needs for training in Human Research Ethics Standards. Staff may also benefit from undertaking training when applying for promotion, or in the conduct of their own research. Students will benefit from the course in the conduct of their own research and the accumulation of micro-credentials to enhance employability upon graduation.

This is a non-creditable micro-credential which is awarded a digital badge and Certificate of Completion which can be shared to your social networks and displayed in your professional portfolio.

Our micro-credentials are aligned to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

Undertaking this micro-credential enables students to meet their Continuing Professional Development obligations and industry update requirements in their profession. Upon successful completion of the non-creditable micro-credential, students will be awarded Continuing Professional Development (CPD) hours, a Digital Badge and a Certificate of Completion.

  1. Identify the core values of human research ethics as outlined in the National Statement on Ethical Conduct in Human Research
  2. Outline the responsibilities of the Chief Investigator associated with a research project
  3. Outline the consequences of failing to comply with the National Statement on Ethical Conduct in Human Research.
