Applying to Study During COVID 19

At CQUniversity, we’re committed to providing quality education throughout the disruption of COVID-19. Our courses are open for application which means there's no need to wait or put things on hold if you would like to start studying sooner, rather than later.

At the start of Term 1, we transitioned face-to-face teaching online for our Higher Education courses, and this has continued into Term 2 as CQUniversity continues to follow social distancing requirements and advice made by the Australian Government. This means that if you are starting your studies with us, whether you apply to study on campus or online, you will find your material online via our student learning platform, and you will be able to watch and participate in your lectures, tutorials and discussions online. If there are any exceptions to this, your teaching team will be in contact with you to provide details of the arrangements in place for the course and units you are studying.

As industry leaders in online education, we are well-placed to provide an excellent online service to our students. And if you intend to study on campus in the long-term, rest assured that we will fully support you as you commence your studies online, and transition to face-to-face when the times comes.

While there have been changes to our face-to-face delivery, our term dates remain the same, and these are outlined in our academic calendars.

If the course that you are interested in has a residential school or work placement component, you may find that these will be on hold, postponed to a later date when face-to-face teaching may resume or delivered differently, for example, some residential schools may be held online.

As you commence your studies our teaching teams and course coordinators will keep you informed of specific details relating to any relevant residential schools or placements if they form part of the course that you are studying.

Interested in applying to study? Our courses are open for application and there are no changes to the application process or intake dates for our upcoming intakes in 2020.

Upcoming Intakes In 2020

Applications for Term 3 (November) for our higher education courses are open now, and applications can be made via the relevant Tertiary Admission Centres and our direct admission portal.

TAFE courses are open, with many courses having monthly intakes. Applications can be made directly to us, via our direct admission portal.

For upcoming intakes in 2020, we have a range of on-campus study options available and open for application. You will find that for these courses, the face-to-face teaching component will initially be delivered online as we continue to follow Government advice.

While our face-to-face teaching has transitioned to online for the time being, if you intend on studying on campus in the long term, there's no need to hold off on starting your studies. We're prepared for the future – when this disruption ends, so if you would like to study on campus, apply now for one of our on-campus study options and be reassured that we will fully support you as you commence your studies online, and transition to face-to-face when the times comes.

Once you're enrolled as a CQUni student, you'll be kept up to date about the specific online delivery details of your course as you start your studies with us and you'll also have access to all of the online learning platforms and support services available as a CQUni student.

If you're not sure what the best way is to apply for your course of interest, you can view how to apply details specific to each course within the how to apply section on each course page.

Application dates are dependent on the course you are interested in studying, whether you apply via a Tertiary Admission Centres or directly to CQUni, and the intake you are applying for.
