‘The Doctor of Professional Studies is a research integrated, professional practice degree. It provides candidates with a course of supervised research and study that focuses on creativity, innovation and enterprise to generate and apply new knowledge and skills in a range of professions and occupations. You will already have a solid education background but now find yourself dealing with more complex issues and demands. The Doctor of Professional Studies acknowledges your professional experience and leverages them to produce four research tasks followed by execution of a research project and preparation of a research thesis. which makes a significant original contribution to knowledge. The course is governed by the Research Higher Degree Course Rules, which provides details regarding all aspects of admission, progression, submission and examination of the thesis.”

You may be considered for admission to the Doctor of Professional Studies course if you:
- have been awarded a masters degree either by research or with a substantial element of research work within it, from a University or any other approved higher education institutions; or
- have qualified for the award of a Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline with first class or second class honours conferrred by a University or any other approved higher education institution; or
- hold, from an institution of tertiary education, qualifications which are deemed by the Committee to be equivalent to either of the two points listed above.
