Our experienced staff provide you with a high level of support, offering several services that are available for you to use from wherever you are studying. These may include electronic and online library resources, study material, discussion forums and recorded lecturers, along with weekend or online orientation sessions, and access to our facilities and locations across Australia.

For most courses, you will find that the study material is delivered through our online platform where you will have access to unit material, video presentations, tutorial activities, online chat forums as well as other resources.
Yes, when studying online you will have access to all CQUniversity libraries. You can visit any CQUniversity library or utilise the range of online resources available to support your learning. You have access to several online resources that meet your needs, including e-journals, e-books and a variety of other electronic resources. You can also borrow books using our online booking system, where requested materials are posted to your home in Australia, with return postage, free of charge.

Orientation is designed to provide you with the information you need to become a successful student at CQUniversity. It will help you become familiar with University systems and the support and services available to you. As an online student, you will benefit from the flexibility to choose to attend an orientation session either on-campus and/or online to suit your needs.
As an online student, you may be required to sit Standard Examinations, and Deferred and Supplementary Examinations as part of your course assessment requirements. These are scheduled each term and can be viewed in the Key Dates calendar. You can choose from a list of more than 200 exam centres in Australia and around the world and if you live more than 150 km from a centre, you can apply to create a location closer to your home.
To complement the online elements of your course, you may be required to attend a residential school. Residential schools involve a period of time that online students must spend on campus. Not all units have residential schools, however, it is important to note those that do as these schools are generally classed as compulsory and must be attended to fulfil the unit requirements.
Residential schools are an important part of the courses offered at CQUniversity allowing you to network with lecturers, students and industry specialists, whilst getting hands-on, practical work experience in your chosen field of study.

In addition to online study materials and regular communication with our teaching professionals, CQUniversity offers a range of student support services to assist you throughout your study journey.
As a new student, you will need to become familiar with a lot of information about studying at CQUni. Our experienced staff provide you with a high level of support, offering several services that are available for use at any time from wherever you may be studying. Services include Orientation to assist your transition into university life, ongoing assistance through the Student Mentor program, counselling services, support for students with a disability or medical conditions, career planning services and more.
Yes, the Academic Learning Centre (ALC) provides online and on-campus resources, workshops and assistance when it comes to academic writing and referencing, mathematics, science and computing. Our academic learning advisers are available at all campuses and online to assist you with all your academic requirements.
