Successful completion of this course allow you gain employment as a process plant operator, chemical plant operator, trainee process technician or process technician in a production or manufacturing related industry.

This course has been developed as a technical qualification for use in the PMA08 Chemical, Hydrocarbons and Refining Training Package. This course is intended to prepare workers to perform operational roles in the chemical, hydrocarbons or refined sectors.

This is a nationally recognised accredited course.

You will be required to supply your own steel-capped boots, jeans and a long-sleeved cotton shirt for this course.  If you have any questions in relation to PPE please email stn@cqu.edu.au.

Completion of the BKSB (Basic Key Skills Builder) online literacy and numeracy assessment prior to enrolment, unless the student has completed an equal or higher level course.
