Carolyn has held senior roles in the United Nations and in the private sector.

A passionate advocate for women's and children's rights worldwide, Carolyn is currently an advisor to the United Nations Trust Fund to End Violence Against Women (UNTF), and an International Board Member at Amnesty International.

"My studies at CQUniversity were possible because of CQU's world class online study learning program and the flexibility it provides for students who are balancing work and study. Through my work I am reminded every day that my access to education and the quality of education I have received throughout my life is not available to millions of others around the world. I am grateful for the opportunities it has afforded me".

Carolyn was awarded the 2014 Distinguished Alumnus award.
