CQUni Mackay Gyms

Students and staff in Mackay can access great facilities at the Mackay Ooralea Gym and the Mackay City Gym.

CQUni Mackay Ooralea Gym

Thanks to the Mackay Campus Life team, the CQUni Mackay Ooralea Gym offers resistance training stations, cardio equipment (treadmills, cross trainers, rowers and recumbent cycles), free weights, cable machines, a suspension system, innovative and fitness-testing equipment, a group exercise floor area and spin bikes.

Location: Mackay Ooralea Building 19.
Open: 7 days from 4.30 am – 9 pm

Memberships is free for students and staff. To obtain access, you must complete a five-minute induction with the Campus Coordinator. You must also read and complete the facilities Terms and Conditions.

CQUni Mackay City Gym

CQUni Mackay City Gym also offers resistance training stations, cardio equipment (treadmills, cross trainers, rowers and recumbent cycles), free weights, cable machines, a suspension system, innovative and fitness-testing equipment, a group exercise floor area and spin bikes.

Location: Mackay City campus, Building 4, Ground Floor.
Open: Students and staff can access the gym for free on Monday to Thursday from 11.00 am – 1.00 pm and will be supervised by Fitness staff and students.

A paid membership and swipe card are required to access the gym outside of these nominated days and times.

Membership

CQUni Mackay City Gym membership is great value. To join, you will need to complete a full gym induction between the hours of 11.00 am – 1.00 pm, Monday to Thursday, at the Mackay City Gym, Building 4 Ground floor.

Cost

  • 1 Month Membership $20.00
  • 6 Month Membership $100.00
  • 12 Month Membership $180.00.

Membership Hours

  • Monday to Thursday from 6.00am – 8.00am, 11.00am – 1.00pm, and 4.00pm – 9.00pm
  • Friday from 6.00am – 9.00pm

The gym is available during these hours via swipe card. To obtain a swipe card, you must complete a membership application, induction and pay your membership fees in full.
