Support for The Smith Family Learning for Life students

CQUniversity Australia has gained an international reputation as being one of this country's leading institutions in terms of its accessibility and the support it provides for students. In keeping with this position, CQUniversity provides access and support for students identified through The Smith Family Learning for Life program which provides financially disadvantaged young people with assistance all the way through their education, including at key transition points.

The University is working with Rockhampton and Mackay Learning for Life staff to open up pathways to higher education for scholarship families, through information sessions and by supplying families with university program and scholarship information.

If you are a Smith Family Learning for Life student CQUniversity will help you achieve your dream career by assisting you to enrol in a CQUniversity degree program and begin your tertiary studies. CQUniversity will provide:

  • Assistance with entry - CQUniversity will help The Smith Family LFL students who apply to CQUniversity by providing bonus entry points through the Educational Access Scheme (EAS) into most undergraduate programs.

In addition, our scholarships, awards, prizes and financial assistance programs provide financial support as you complete your studies with us. At CQUniversity, we recognise the need to support those students who are disadvantaged but also reward those who have excelled at their studies. Please visit our scholarships page for our complete list of current scholarships.

CQUniversity also offers students a range of Academic Assistance services including assignment writing, mathematics and study skills.

CQUniversity offers students that don't meet the traditional QTAC requirements and those who have not studied for many years the opportunity to study at university through one of its Enabling Programs. Each program is specifically designed to provide students with a pathway to a brighter future through university study.
