Online study help, anywhere, anytime. Get feedback on your writing or help with a study question – it's free for you as a CQUni student.
The service is available directly from Moodle. To access Studiosity, visit the MyCQU Student Portal and select a unit for the current term. Follow the Moodle link for that unit and then select Studiosity from the side menu.
When you log in to Studiosity, you'll be asked to set up a 4-digit security PIN for your account. This PIN adds another layer of protection to your Studiosity account, ensuring privacy and keeping your work safe. You'll need to enter that same 4-digit PIN every time you access Studiosity.
How does the service work
You can choose to upload a file 24/7 and get it back with constructive general academic literacy feedback on structure, grammar, punctuation, spelling and referencing within 24 hours.
Alternatively, the online tutors are available from 5 pm – midnight, Sunday to Friday. Connect in real-time to expert tutors, waiting online to help you get ‘unstuck’. Studiosity provides one-to-one chat, covering subjects like Essay Writing, Study Skills, Mathematics, Physics/Chemistry/Biology Accounting, Statistics, Micro/Macroeconomics and more.
The mobile app allows you to:
- Save a question for later
- Snap and upload a photo of a question straight from your phone
- Get notifications and review your Writing Feedback
- Use voice-to-text
- Review past sessions
How does this fit with the ALC?
CQUniversity has adopted Studiosity in addition to the advice provided by the Academic Learning Centre (ALC). The ALC will remain available from 8 am - 5 pm Monday to Friday (or by appointment)
The ALC provides information, advice and resources related to the academic communication (e.g. writing, note-taking and referencing), mathematics, science, and computing requirements needed to study at CQUniversity. The ALC offers personalised consultations with an advisor on campus or online by phone, Zoom, or via an online submission service. The ALC also offers generic group sessions, course-specific workshops, drop-in centres, print and online resources.
