For information on the different stages of Monitoring Academic Progress, please visit the appropriate section below. If you still have further queries, please refer to the Frequently Asked Questions.

MAP Stage 1

You have been identified at MAP Stage 1 because you have demonstrated unsatisfactory academic progress in your previous term of study. The University defines unsatisfactory academic progress as a student failing more than 50% of their units in a term, or failing a unit they have previously failed.

You are now required to complete a MAP 1 Action Plan and participate in an interview with a CQUniversity Student Engagement staff member on your campus. Please arrange this interview within 10 working days of the date of your MAP Stage 1 notification by visiting Student Engagement on your campus or contacting them on the details below.

To prepare for the interview please read the MAP 1 Action Plan that was attached to your email. The aim of the interview is to provide you with individualised support to assist you in identifying the factors that contributed to your unsatisfactory academic progress and to help you develop strategies to overcome these obstacles. These strategies are recorded in the above mentioned MAP 1 Action Plan.

Step 1

Complete and submit a MAP 1 Action Plan online in MyCentre.

Step 2

Visit Student Engagement on your campus for your MAP 1 interview within 10 working days of your MAP Stage 1 notification. You do not need to schedule a specific interview time. You just need to visit Student Engagement on your campus and tell them you are there for your MAP 1 Interview. The aim of the interview is to provide you with individualised support to assist you in identifying the factors that contributed to your unsatisfactory academic progress and to help you develop strategies to overcome these obstacles. These strategies are recorded in the above-mentioned MAP 1 Action Plan.
