Sumit is from India and comes from an army family. After Year 12, he moved to Australia to pursue higher education. He chose CQUniversity because of its good reputation and convenient campus location.
After graduation, Sumit started in an information technology support role but ended up in sales. Throughout his career, Sumit has worked for global brands such as Ferrero, MARS Wrigley, Samsung Electronics and Jabra Electronics, with whom he has won many national and international awards. Sumit furthered his education by completing a Master of Business Administration degree and a short course in sustainable strategy with Harvard Business School.
Sumit was recently promoted to the Head of National Sales role with Groupon Australia. His duties involve national and global account management, budgeting, forecasting, people management, market and competitor analysis, promotion planning, client meetings and presentations, pipeline management, return of investment management, strategic partnerships, business development, recruiting, sales, and coaching.
