Raghavendra Vasudeva Upadhyaya
Raghavendra describes studying his research higher degree in Rockhampton as the best time of his life. He has fond memories of the campus infrastructure, state-of-the-art lab equipment and friendly staff.
Some of the most important things that Raghavendra learned during his studies are patience, self-motivation, determination and keeping cool during stressful times. He also developed a range of valuable skills, including research and data analysis, effective communication, stakeholder engagement, industry and academic collaboration and technical skills.
After completing his PhD, Raghavendra progressed from an academic position to a full-time industry career. He currently works for the Mornington Peninsula Council as a Traffic and Transport Team Leader.
Raghavendra’s best tip for the next generation of research higher degree graduates is “don't work hard, work smarter and take life as it comes.”
