Mark Newberry

Before studying with CQUniversity, Mark was an instrument and electrical tradesperson, travelling around the state. Mark got tired of travelling away from home and decided to pursue a career in education. He used Les Norton books to retrain himself in reading.
Mark’s degree gave him an immense amount of cognitive weaponry that has allowed him to help others. His knowledge about adult learning has been a valuable attribute when dealing with secondary school students and adults who experience difficulties with learning.
Since graduation, Mark was drafted into various in-class roles in secondary schools and several support roles for training trades. After a decade of teaching, he moved into logistics and completed a masters degree in workplace health and safety. Mark is now a trainer/assessor, as well as a compliance officer & safety auditor. His job involves training and assessing and ensuring that safety plans are accurate and legally within bounds.
