John Callanan

John is a self-employed Psychologist at Darwin Children's Clinic. He was a practising psychologist interested in exploring how better to involve parents in therapy for younger children with developmental delays. His PhD gave him access to databases and supported him to explore a novel approach to this dilemma.
John was able to complete his PhD part-time while working. The model of practice he used in his career was the focus of the PhD. It has provided a solid evidence base for his future work. The publication chapters he has contributed to have led to interest in implementing his program in Australia and the United States.
