Brendan James

CQUniversity was my local university, and is one of few universities offering an OH&S Degree. Having previously studied an Advanced Certificate with CQU it was an easy decision to take the next step with CQU.

My degree has enabled me to improve my skills and gain employment with Bechtel, a large international construction company.

I am now the Lead Industrial / Occupational Hygienist on the APLNG project on Curtis Island. My work involves Occupational Hygiene assessments and safety audits, inspections and procedures on a major LNG construction site.

One of my professional highlights has definitely been contributing towards the safety of a major international construction project.
