Blake Harvey

Blake Harvey

Blake is an engineering manager in the power industry. He has sought a range of industry knowledge and experience that has enabled him to take on a broader leadership role as the 2014 Queensland Division President of Engineers Australia. He is also co-founder of the Central Queensland Chapter of Engineers without Borders. Blake has worked in Switzerland and Germany, gaining valuable experience, which has contributed to his ability to take on significant leadership roles at a young age.

Blake was named the 2009 Australian Graduate Electrical Power Engineer of the Year, received a high-commendation from Engineers Australia as Young Queensland Professional Engineer of the Year 2010, and a commendation in the AIM Rockhampton Young Manager of the Year 2011. Blake remains active with CQUniversity as a casual lecturer, and as a facilitator and supervisor of engineering co-op placements and final year engineering thesis projects. Blake spoke on behalf of all alumni at the Investiture of CQUniversity's Chancellor in 2016.

Blake was awarded the 2014 Young Achiever Alumni Award.
