Buraligim Weiber
A Place of Learning

CQUniversity STEM Central in partnership with Australia Pacific LNG have developed and delivered a pilot program Buraligim Weiber (place of learning) for Years 3 and 4 Indigenous students from Gladstone West State School in 2021 and 2022. During the 2022 pilot, classes at the school also engaged with the program at the school while the Indigenous students attended the campus.
Students participated in a 20-week program on:
- Place: Its connection to me and my community (Then, Now and Tomorrow)
- Place: Caring for life in the sea (Then, Now and Tomorrow)
The program has direct links with the Australian Curriculum general capabilities, cross curriculum capabilities of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander history, and Sustainability
