CQUniversity has been recognised within the World’s Top 100 Young Universities by the prestigious Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings, claiming a spot at number 90.
The Young University Rankings apply the same performance indicators as the overall THE World University Rankings, with universities under 50 years old measured on their teaching, research, citations, international outlook and industry income.
This is a significant leap forward for CQUniversity having been ranked just outside the top 100 in 2016.
CQUniversity Australia has been named among the best universities in the world, claiming a spot within the Top 500 list of the prestigious and well-respected Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2016 – 17. This is a significant improvement from its 2015 ranking, having previously placed in the Top 600.

CQUniversity has recently been ranked within the top 3% of universities globally by QS World University Rankings after securing a place in the 601-650 rankings bracket.
This ranking system is based on six performance indicators: academic reputation, employer reputation, student-to-faculty ratio, citations per faculty, international faculty ratio and international student ratio, across four areas including research, teaching, employability and internationalisation. This outstanding result positions us among leading universities around the world.
CQUniversity's commitment to engagement and social outreach has led to CQUniversity being recognised as Australia's first Changemaker Campus by Ashoka U, an exclusive global social innovation group, made up of only 30 other high profile education institutions across the world.

The Excellence in Research for Australia (ERA) 2015 results show CQUniversity is conducting research rated as at, above, and well above world standards across various research categories.
The ERA initiative is developed and managed by the Australian Research Council (ARC) as a major funder of public sector research. It assesses research quality within Australia's higher education institutions using a combination of indicators and expert review by committees comprising experienced, internationally recognised experts.

In the CEO Magazine’s Global MBA Rankings, CQUniversity’s MBA was ranked in the top tier at #5 among Australia’s leading MBA programs; and at #20 for Global Online MBA in a table predominantly led by North American and European universities.

For undergraduate, the University is in the top 5 universities for overall full-time employment and median salaries. It tops the nation for median salaries in Engineering, and for full-time employment in Teacher Education.
For postgraduate, the University is in the top 2 universities for full-time employment and median salaries in Engineering, and a leader in Health Services and Support and Teacher Education.
