What is the Summer Spectacular?

CQCM's Summer Spectacular offers performers the opportunity to hone their theatre skills in an intensive, one week program, under the guidance of a professional music theatre director and award-winning staff from Central Queensland Conservatorium of Music.

This year the CQCM Music Theatre Summer School will present GREASE Young@Part®, which is an adaptation of the full-length musical GREASE, one of the world’s most popular and enduring musicals by Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey. TRW’s Young@Part® series is specifically crafted for students 18 years and younger, adjusting the score for younger voices, simplifying harmonies, increasing the number of speaking roles, and creating a more manageable production for school students and youth theatres. These musicals, feature expandable casts and large group numbers so that everyone can shine.

Suitable for: High school students aged 12 - 18 years
Cost: $295 per student

When is the concert held?

The Summer Spectacular concert is open to the public and will feature the participating students.

Entry to the concert is FREE.
