CQUni Noosa campus brings industry together for Mental Health Week

More than 40 people attended an industry breakfast at CQUniversity Noosa for Mental Health Week.

CQUniversity Noosa has shown its support for Mental Health Week by hosting three guest speakers from local community organisations at an industry breakfast recently.

Associate Vice-Chancellor Teressa Schmidt said the “Mental Health and Vulnerability in Our Community” event on 8 October was intended to develop strategies relevant to mental health and homelessness in the Sunshine Coast region.

More than 40 people from the mental health industry and the local community attended the event which was organised in collaboration with Noosa Shire Council and United Synergies.

Participants head from Headspace Maroochydore Centre Manager Deborah Blakeney, Sunny Street Street Health Outreach Service co-founders Sonia Goodwin and Dr Nora Evans and Brave Face Founder Bryan Peck.
