Public lectures in Cairns CBD easy as ABC, and free!

Published:25 August 2015

Cairns residents who are in the CBD around the end of business hours next week will find it easy to attend one or more of a series of free public lectures presented by CQUniversity.

The ‘CQUni Talks’ lectures – from 5.15pm to 6pm from Monday to Thursday next week – have been arranged to coincide with Cairns Festival 2015.

They are all scheduled for CQUni’s new Cairns CBD campus, on the corner of Abbott and Shields streets (Level 3).

CQUniversity Associate Vice-Chancellor (Cairns and Far North region) Jodie Duignan-George says the talks are designed to “inspire, connect and engage”.

“On Monday evening we have the use of professional communication for budget-free promotion for your business or charity, on Tuesday the boom to bust and back again of the Taipans basketball team journey, on Wednesday stories from the frontline of emergency services, and on Thursday the education vision for Cairns,” Ms Duignan-George says.
