At a glance
It can be daunting trying to navigate our health system. This short 1 hour course will explain and introduce you to the different contexts of healthcare in Australia and outline some of the major types of health services. It will also touch on the health care services that are provided to the vulnerable groups in our society and explain the National Safety and Quality Health Service.

Successful completion of this course is awarded one CPD hour.
This course will detail the following topics:
- Explain the role of government in the provision of healthcare in Australia
- Outline the National health Safety Quality Service Standards
- Explore contemporary models of healthcare utilised in Australia
- Recognise some of the vulnerable groups in Australia and list the health and support services available to them.
