Overview

Enhance your understanding and application of best-practice management and business knowledge, to improve organisational effectiveness from a strategic and cross-cultural perspective, and pursue a successful career as a manager within multinational corporations. The Graduate Diploma of International Business will build your competencies in international perspectives on financial management and human resources management, as well as governance and business law, and global business marketing. 

The Graduate Diploma of International Business provides you with the skills and knowledge needed to pursue a successful career as a manager within multinational corporations. 

You will study eight core units covering management topics in effective business communications, managing human resources, and management. Your study will also focus on international management functions and practices including international financial management, international human resource management, governance and business law, and global marketing. 

Examine foreign exchange markets, Euromarkets, parity concepts and applications, exchange rate forecasting, cost of capital, risk management strategies, portfolio management and capital budgeting tools in an international environment to equip you with knowledge of international financial management. Gain an understanding of the human resource functions, operations, policies and practices that are applicable to the transference of employees for work purposes from one country to another, and the complexities of working in global organisations. You will learn how to address the legal status of organisations and the corporate governance structures that should be established to ensure company directors and managers fulfil their legal and ethical obligations. Finally, develop knowledge of international marketing theories, practices and strategies.

Upon completion of the first four units, you will be eligible to satisfy the interim or exit award of the Graduate Certificate of Management, or upon completion of the Graduate Diploma of International Business, you will be eligible to pathway into the Master of Business Management with credit for eight units.
