Overview

Are you keen to advance your mathematical skills? Would you like to know more about descriptive statistics for grouped and ungrouped data, and how to calculate the mean and standard deviation of lists, tables and grouped data? What about how to calculate correlation coefficient and regression equation for data sets? If these are concepts you want to know more about, get started today and step up your mathematical knowledge and skills.

Mathematics is used to solve many types of problems. This online micro-credential will introduce you to descriptive statistics for grouped and ungrouped data, and correlation and linear regression analysis.

Students who successfully complete the set of 9 micro-credentials* developed from the unit MATH40228, Intermediate Mathematics for University, (which forms part of the Skills for Tertiary Education Preparatory Studies (STEPS) CL03), may be eligible for credit transfer, pending all other entry requirements to the Skills for Tertiary Education Preparatory Studies (STEPS) CL03 are being met, as automatic entry will not apply.
