Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible to receive The Capricornia Catchments Scholarship an applicant must:

  • Be enrolled in a Bachelor of Agriculture 2017
  • Have a residential postcode in the Capricornia Catchments region (Three Rivers, Boyne Calliope, lower Fitzroy and coastal catchments including Rockhampton, Gladstone, St Lawrence, Blackwater, Dysart and Moranbah - for more info, refer to map http://www.capcatchments.org.au/about-us/management-committee/)
  • Be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • Be enrolled at CQUniversity at the time of Census Date Term 2 2017

Selection Criteria

Applicants will be assessed based on an application form and a written submission addressing the following:

1. How the scholarship will help me to achieve my career/education goals?

2. How am I committed to sound natural resource management practices in the agricultural sector?

Additional Information

Payment of the Scholarship
Payment will be made to the successful applicant after Census Date of Term 2 2017. Payment will be credited electronically to the student’s nominated bank account.

How to apply

To apply for the Capricornia Catchments Scholarship:

  1. Read the Scholarship Guidelines to check for eligibility and documentation required
  2. Complete a Scholarship Online Application Form, ensuring all supporting documentation is completed and attached as outlined in the Scholarship Guidelines
    • For Current students (applicants who have already have a Student ID number) here to apply through MyCentre. You will need to log in with your student details.
    • For Future students (applicants who have applied or are intending to apply to study at CQUniversity but not yet received or accepted an offer) click here to apply
  3. Complete Applications must be received at the Student Life and Wellbeing Centre, Scholarships Office by 5pm on the closing date.

    Failure to supply requested documents will result in your application being incomplete. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

How will I know the outcome of my application?

A selection panel, consisting of representatives from Capricornia Catchments and CQUniversity will be formed to determine the successful applicant in each instance. Interviews may be requested. A scholarship will only be offered where there is an applicant of sufficient merit. All applicants will be notified of the outcome of their applications as soon as possible after the selection panel meets.
