This online Short Course provides an overview of manual handling risks, management and controls to reduce injury to workers and ensure client safety.  It also overviews common mobility aids used in the community and the physical aspects of common transfer procedures in the community setting.

The fee for this short course will be $45.00.

  1. Describe and identify Manual Handling risks and apply Manual Handling Principles for safe practice
  2. Describe physical work practices, knowledge and skills for manual handling
  3. Recognise the importance of assessment and planning for client mobilisation and transfers.
