Engineering

If you are interested in how things work, CQUniversity’s numerous engineering study options will establish solid career foundations.

For those working in a trade or as an engineering associate/technologist, the Associate Degree of Engineering extends your expertise with majors in civil, electrical, mechanical or mining engineering, or engineering geology.

To qualify as an engineer, the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) offers specialisations in civil, electrical, mechanical, mechatronic or mining engineering. The Bachelor of Engineering and Diploma of Professional Practice (Co-op Engineering) also qualifies you as an engineer, plus features 48 weeks of paid work placements. The Bachelor of Applied Technology is a blend of university theory and the hands-on aspects of TAFE and leads to a career as a light automotive technician.

Our postgraduate engineering options expand on existing credentials, or offer a second discipline of interest. The Master of Engineering suits three- or four-year qualification holders seeking recognition as graduate professional engineers. Postgraduate management studies for engineers also exist to advance your business skills.
