Hi i'm Maddie, I'm here to talk to you about our Start Uni Now program also known as SUN. SUN is a CQUni program that allows eligible Year 10, 11 and 12 students to start studying a degree while still in high school. It means you can start working towards your dream career now.

So studying SUN will not only give you a head start in your studies but you'll also benefit in a number of ways. Firstly your first unit in SUN is free, meaning getting started in sun is easy and accessible for everyone. You'll also get a taste of what Uni is like and what it means to be a Uni student. You'll study real university units so making the transition from high school to Uni when you graduate much easier. You'll also gain credit from any SUN units that you complete for your course of interest, meaning this will give you a head start on some of the other students, and by successfully passing a SUN unit you may also be eligible for direct entry into your course of interest. So you can be confident that your pathway to Uni is not only reliant on your ATAR. So as you can see there are loads of benefits to studying in the SUN program.

Completing a sun unit involves setting aside around 10 to 12 hours per week for study, you'll be able to fit this around your regular high school work. To help you out along the way we have a dedicated SUN officer that will be available for support whenever you need them. As a University student you'll also have access to a range of support services including our academic learning centre, campus library and much more.
