About the Chief Operating Officer, CORPORATE SERVICES Division

Chief Operating Officer, Corporate Services is responsible for the Financial Services Directorate, Corporate Strategy and Planning Directorate and Governance Directorate. The Corporate Services Division also holds responsibilities for the University’s Digital Services, Facilities Management and Commercial Services portfolios. The Division has numerous internal reporting obligations to Council and Committees and external reporting obligations to the State and Federal Governments.

ABOUT NARELLE PEARSE

Narelle Pearse has been a senior executive at CQUniversity since 2014. As the Chief Operating Officer of CQUniversity, Narelle’s portfolio includes Digital Services, Facilities, Strategic Planning & Risk, Business Intelligence and Analytics, Finance, Legal, Governance, Commercialisation, and Commercial Services.

Narelle is a strong advocate for regional Australia and has built a successful managerial career in region Queensland having previously been the CEO of the Mackay-Isaac-Whitsunday Regional Economic Development Corporation (REDC), Managing Director of MAIN, and the founding director of C-RES, the BHP Local Buy program before coming to CQUniversity in 2014. Narelle has also held board positions on the Capricornia Bank, Capricorn Enterprise and the CQ Hospital Foundation. She was also a past member of the CQUniversity Council.

Narelle is committed to working with internal and external university stakeholders to strengthen regional communities and industries, and to ensure a strong and sustainable future for higher education and training in the regions.

Narelle holds a Bachelor of Commerce, Masters of Commerce, Executive MBA, Graduate Diploma in Economic Development, and a Graduate Diploma in Psychology.
