Leading by example

Scott BowmanSo many people are helping to transform lives through their gifts to CQUniversity. To all our supporters, thank you. We really can't say those two words enough.

"As a university, we continually strive for greatness. Philanthropy is helping CQUniversity grow from being a strong university to a great university. Thanks to the significant contributions of our staff, students, alumni, donors, community and industry, we get close to this vision every day. Thank you for your continued and generous support."

Professor Scott Bowman, Vice Chancellor, CQUniversity, and CQUni Cares donor.

Growing a culture of philanthropy

University can be a difficult journey. Without financial assistance, we know that some of our students might not be able to realise their education dreams and graduate. CQUniversity alumni, staff and students are leading the way when it comes to supporting students in financial need. CQUni Cares is a fund to support students in need of urgent financial assistance.  "Thirteen years ago, I had the chance to join a traineeship at CQUniversity. I've had many opportunities as a result, which have allowed me to develop personally and professionally. Now that I'm in a position to give back, I choose to support CQUni Cares. I know the difference it can make."

Reegan Bickey, CQUniversity staff member and CQUni Cares donor

Our industry partners

We are grateful to our many corporate and industry partners whose financial and practical support has enabled many important programs. From establishing scholarships and training programs to supporting research and faculty equipment funds, your commitment to advancing our communities through skills, training, research and job opportunities has been outstanding.

"Cost of living expenses in mining areas like Mackay can be very high. BMC is proud that our 'Building My Career' scholarships are continuing to encourage young people in non-mining skills degrees to study locally, and upon completion of their studies, use their skills to benefit the region."
