Exchange agreements with international universities are based on reciprocal fee-waiver arrangements, which mean students, pay their regular fees (if any) to the home institution (CQUniversity) and do not have to pay fees to the host institution. For this reason, you will not be charged anything for tuition at your host institution. You will pay your regular student contribution for studying at CQUniversity whether that is up front or deferred payment (HECS) calculated according to the number of credit points you enrol in/are approved for in you exchange program.
You may be eligible for one or more of scholarship, travel grant or student loan to assist you with the costs of participating in the exchange. The costs that you will need to consider are:
• Passports and travel documents
• Return airfare to your chosen country
• Accommodation for the period you will study overseas
• Living expenses (food, clothing, transport, leisure activities) for the period you will study overseas
• Additional spending money (for example, for travelling after the exchange is over, weekend trips etc.)
• Health Insurance
