Distance Education

We are a pioneer of distance education in Australia and are experienced in the provision of quality distance education to over 7 000 distance education students around the world.

Distance education allows you to study for a degree from home, on the road or virtually anywhere. Indeed, our programs are so flexible, you can continue working if you wish or schedule your studies around your personal lifestyle or family commitments. 

Programs

The programs offered are of the same standard and just as demanding as on-campus programs. You also have the option of mixing study modes. You may choose to do some subjects on-campus and others by distance. And at CQUniversity you can extend the time taken to complete your program to fit with your personal pace or lifestyle demands.

Course Materials

At the start of each term, we send students a study package that may include study guides, resource material, assignments, CDs or DVDs or, for science subjects, even home laboratory kits. These course materials are amongst the best in the country and have been refined and improved over many years. 

Support Service

We know that the lifestyles of students studying via distance education are often very different from those of students studying on-campus. Distance learning is supported by contact with lecturers, tele-tutorials, online student discussion forums, use of electronici library resources and special services such as CQUniversity's off-campus mentoring program - DeMentor - in which experienced Distance Education students link up with first year students.
