Intakes

We have three terms (semesters) available for Study Abroad. Term 3 is available in Brisbane and Sydney for fee paying students only on fee per course basis. Term 3 at Rockhampton is available for Education majors only.

Term 3: October

Students must seek prior approval for their course selections from their home university, before commencing their study abroad term at CQUniversity to be able to receive academic credit for their chosen courses. CQUniversity will provide an academic transcript to all study abroad students on completion of their study abroad term.

Credit System & Grading

At CQUniversity grades are issued on a 7 point scale.

HD (High Distinction) = 7 (85 - 100%)
D (Distinction) = 6 (75 - 84%)
C (Credit) = 5 (65 - 74%)
P (Pass) = 4 (50 - 64%)
PC (Pass Conceded) = 3 (40 - 49%)

Undergraduate Study

A standard full time credit load at CQUniversity is 24 credit points consisting of 4 courses of 6 credit points each. The minimum enrolment is 3 courses and the maximum is 5.

6 units of credit = 3-4 credits in the US system
6 units of credit = 7.5 ECTS in the European system

Graduate Study

A standard full time credit load at CQUniversity is 24 credit points consisting of 3 courses of 8 credit points each.

8 units of credit = 1 standard course/unit = 3-4 graduate credits in the US system.
8 units of credit= 10 ECTS in the European system
