The following details the academic requirements necessary to study at CQUniversity. International students intending to enrol at CQUniversity, need to satisfy minimum and program specific academic entry requirements and English language proficiency requirements as detailed in the country specific academic entry requirements, Student Handbook and English language proficiency requirements.
You can gain direct entry to undergraduate programs if you have successfully completed Year 12 in Australia or equivalent. An approved University Foundation or formal Australian Certificate IV program can also be taken to meet this entry requirement.
If you complete a Certificate, Diploma or Advanced Diploma program (or equivalent) you may gain Advanced Standing into your CQUniversity program. CQUniversity has articulation arrangements with more than 80 Australian and international institutions, current details may be viewed at http://articulation.cqu.edu.au
For programs where there is no formal articulation or for incomplete qualifications, advanced standing is assessed on a case-by-case basis.
You can gain direct entry to postgraduate programs if you have successfully studied an undergraduate degree in Australia or equivalent.
Students who do not meet the direct entry requirements to a postgraduate program may be eligible for entry into a graduate certificate or graduate diploma program.
Entry into the Master of Business Administration & Master of Management (Specialisation) degree normally requires the equivalent of an Australian undergraduate degree and at least two years of work experience in a management capacity.
CQUniversity provides an alternative entry to these master programs through enrolment and successful completion of:
Entry into the graduate certificate can be obtained through 10 years of relevant work experience or a combination of diploma and 5 years relevant work experience.
If you do not meet our English entry requirements, we offer you fully accredited ELICOS programs at our Rockhampton, Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne campuses to enable you to commence studying in a tertiary preparatory program with CQUniversity and then progress into a formal degree program upon successful completion. Alternatively, you may be eligible to study a diploma program and then, depending on the selcted diploma articulate into the 2nd year of a bachelor degree.
Applicants who have successfully completed recognised Australian preparatory or foundation programs elsewhere, will be admitted to CQUniversity undergraduate degree programs, subject to meeting required grades for specific programs.
CQUniversity has many credit transfer arrangements with colleges, polytechnics, other higher education institutions and universities, which provide advanced standing in undergraduate and postgraduate programs (eg. Polytechnic Diploma holders in Singapore can gain up to 16 exemptions from some undergraduate programs).

You may be considered for special consideration if you do not have the formal academic qualifications for admission but have completed other forms of post-secondary study (eg professional qualifications) and have relevant work experience.
