Accept Your Offer

After your application to study at CQUniversity has been assessed and is successful, you or your agent (if an agent assisted you with your application) will receive an ‘Offer of Admission’ via email.

Types of offers

Full offer

This offer means you have met all the requirements and allows you admission for the term/intake you have applied for.

Conditional offer

If you have received a conditional offer, you must meet the condition/s stated in your offer eg original or certified copies of academic transcripts. Once all the conditions are met, and you have provided all necessary documentation, a conditions met letter will be issued.

Packaged offer

A packaged offer is a combination of offers that require you to complete an English language program or another preliminary program before commencing your main program. You must accept the entire package stated in the Letter of Offer.

Examples of a packaged offer:

  • ELICOS→diploma→bachelor
  • ELICOS→postgraduate program

Unsuccessful application

If you are not successful for your first program preference, we will assess you for the next preference as specified in your application form or recommend a pathway program.

If you have not been successful for admission, you will receive an email advising that you have not met the screening or entry requirements, and are therefore, unsuccessful for admission.

How to accept your offer

To accept your Offer of Admission to study at CQUniversity, please follow the instructions outlined below. These instructions are also enclosed with your Offer of Admission.

1. Read the Offer of Admission to ensure all details, including your program and commencement date, are correct.

If you need to defer your offer, you must contact the Admissions Centre at
international-admissions@cqu.edu.au. If you have not accepted your offer and wish to change program, you will need to submit a new application form for re-assessment.

2. Ensure all conditions, if any on your Offer of Admission have been met.

3. Carefully read and understand the details of your International Student Contract before signing it.

4. Refer to our refund policy: Refund and Excess Payments (Credit Balances) Policy, Principles and Procedures.

5. Pay your tuition fees and visa length Overseas Students Health Cover (OSHC). Payments must be made in Australian dollars.

Up to 20 weeks ELICOS + award program Full ELICOS cost + first term full tuition + visa length OSHC
Over 20 weeks ELICOS + award program 50% of ELICOS cost + first term tuition + visa length OSHC
NON PACKAGED OFFER
All programs (excluding ELICOS) First term tuition + visa length OSHC
ENGLISH LANGUAGE PROGRAM
Up to 20 weeks ELICOS Full ELICOS cost + visa length OSHC
Over 20 weeks ELICOS 50% of ELICOS cost + visa length OSHC

Payment options:

  • Bank draft – you can contact your bank to issue a bank draft payable to ‘CQUniversity’
  • Credit card – you must complete the Credit Card Authority Form, enclosed with your Offer of Admission
  • Telegraphic transfer – our bank account details are enclosed with your Offer of Admission
6. Return the following:
  • Completed and signed International Student Contract
  • Ensure any conditions, if any are met
  • Bank draft (if you have opted to pay via bank draft). Bank draft will need to be mailed or delivered in person. See here for a list of campus physical and postal addresses.
  • Credit Card Authority Form (if you have opted to pay via credit card)
  • Remittance Advice Form (if you have opted to pay via telegraphic transfer) 

All required documents must be returned to the Admissions Centre at international-admission@cqu.edu.au.

What happens next?

After CQUniversity has received your International Student Contract, processed your payment and received documents to meet any conditions, we will issue and email a Confirmation of Enrolment (COE) to you or your agent (if an agent assisted you with your application).

A COE is required for your application for a student visa to study and live in Australia legally. Follow the 'Applying for a Student Visa' guide or contact your local Australian Government overseas office to find out how to apply and what documents you need to support your application.
