The aim of the Bachelor of Arts program is to provide you with a multidisciplinary education that instils knowledge in a range of humanities and social science disciplines. You will explore disciplines that study the way humans recognise, record and debate human practices, meanings and values, and you will develop an understanding of the human condition and of how society operates.
You will have the opportunity to gain crucial lifelong learning and transferable skills, such as critical thinking and problem-solving, and will be able to apply these skills to a range of employment opportunities and real life situations. The Bachelor of Arts will also enable students to gain entry into a variety of postgraduate and vocationally-oriented programs such as a Master of Clinical Psychology or Master of Business Administration.
A Diploma of Arts is available as an exit or interim award after one year of study. To complete this qualification you will be required to have completed six courses from a particular plan and two courses from any other undergraduate program offered at CQUniversity.

They explore how humans recognise, record and debate human practises, meanings and values, including the human condition and how society operates.
More specifically, humanities, psychology and social work incorporates disciplines such as psychology, social work, writing, history, geography and environment, as well as professional communication and journalism leading to a diverse range of careers. Study in humanities, psychology and social work develops life long skills such as critical thinking, research and investigation, communication, design and planning which can assist in all careers and in day-to-day life, in fact, many of Australia’s politicians have studied similar programs.

A Bachelor of Arts provides a multitude of career opportunities in the following areas: advertising, arts administration, book editing, government administration and planning, communications, copywriting, desk-top publishing, editing, environmental planning and management, geography, history, journalism, librarianship, research, nature and heritage conservation, political research, psychology, teaching, welfare, writing (various), and many more.
Work placement is dependent upon courses selected.
You are required to complete 24 courses including three plans (18 courses) and 6 electives.
