Designed to build on the professional skills developed in your Bachelor’s degree, CQUniversity’s Bachelor of Public Health (Honours) Specialisation will equip you with the specialist skills and knowledge for a successful career in the field of Public Health. This program gives you the opportunity to carry out an independent research project, enabling you to develop skills such as independent learning, analytical thinking, research and communication. By developing these skills you will enhance your career prospects and upon graduation, be eligible to continue with research higher degree and postgraduate study.

When you graduate, in addition to obtaining your honours qualification, you can expect to be highly sought after by employers. Some employers use the honours qualification as an indication of an enhanced ability to solve problems, survey literature, undertake research, analyse data, write reports and manage projects. Your extra skills and proven abilities will also enable you to choose from more interesting research and development positions in the field of science and will qualify you for further study at the masters or Doctor of Philosophy level.
To be awarded the Bachelor of Public Health (Honours) you are required to complete four courses.
