The Bachelor of Physiotherapy at CQUniversity is a four year program designed to equip you with the knowledge and skills to practice as a Physiotherapist.
Physiotherapy is a healthcare profession concerned with human function and movement, and physiotherapists use a range of methods in their work, including exercise, manual techniques, education and advice. Physiotherapists provide evidence-based interventions that engage the participation of people of all ages in addressing their health needs, with a strong focus on preventing injuries and promoting health and wellbeing. Empowerment of the individual and self-management are at the core of the profession.
You will develop knowledge and skills in the assessment, treatment and management of a range of conditions, for people of all ages.
The program includes a large amount of practical experience, through both university-based courses and through clinical education placements in a range of clinical settings.

Physiotherapy is a healthcare profession concerned with human function and movement, and physiotherapists use a range of methods in their work, including manual techniques, exercise, electrotherapy, education and advice. Physiotherapists work in a range of settings including hospitals, private clinics and in the field and provide evidence-based interventions that engage the participation of people of all ages in addressing their health needs. They also work in occupational health within organisations, and in higher education and research settings.
Physiotherapists work with individuals, groups and communities to develop health promotion strategies and treat people with both acute injuries such as sports injuries as well as chronic disease such as arthritis.

An academic IELTS (International English Language Testing System) completed within the last 2 years (from the term you are applying to start) with a minimum achievement of 7.0 in each band and overall or a secondary or university qualification which is not more than 5 years old (from the term you are applying for entry into) with a satisfactory level of achievement of at least 2 years in duration from Australia, Canada, New Zealand, UK, Ireland, South Africa or USA.
The English Language Proficiency requirements may also be satisfied by (results are to be no older than 2 years from the start of term):
- Occupational test: Result of 'A' or 'B'
Graduates of the Bachelor of Physiotherapy program can find employment in a variety of healthcare settings including hospitals, community health centres, rehabilitation units, private practice, schools, research, occupational health, and sport clinics and teams. There is a high demand for physiotherapists across a range of healthcare settings, and with the trend of an ageing population, more people are likely to develop physical conditions where physiotherapy can play an important role.
