Upcoming Information Sessions...
Exercise and sports science is a multidisciplinary field that enables you to understand and appreciate human movement as it applies to human fitness, elite performance, family and community health, lifestyle management, occupational health and safety, and personal health. Core studies in this program focus on exercise physiology, biomechanics, motor control, exercise and sport psychology, and anatomy. This gives you a comprehensive understanding of health and the factors that influence it.
At CQUniversity, our Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Sciences is the only program of its kind in Australia that is offered by distance education and on-campus, either full-time or part-time. Throughout the program students will gain knowledge, explore the applications, and understand the methods, concepts and interactions of the sub-disciplines of exercise and sport sciences in the discovery of human movement as it applies to health, fitness and human behaviour.
Another benefit of studying at CQUniversity is that we offer smaller class sizes and more personalised learning to cater to your individual needs. Our program will provide you with the right mix of theory and hands-on laboratory experiences, so you can apply what you learn in a practical capacity.
The program also includes two placements of work-integrated learning, one clinically-based and one sport-based, giving you great exposure to real workplace practices and ensuring you are ‘work-ready’ when you graduate.
