The Master of Health Professional Education (MHPE) provides a multidisciplinary program of study for health care professionals involved in teaching in a variety of health service delivery settings including the public and private sectors in nursing and allied health. The principal aim of the program is to respond to the growing demands for clinical educators and meet the ongoing professional development needs of clinicians.
CQUniversity is an educational facility that nurtures, values, and supports the development and sharing of knowledge across health disciplines to improve positive patient outcomes.

The Master of Health Professional Education is the first program of its kind offered in Central Queensland and is the only program of its kind offered outside the south-east Queensland corner. This program meets changes to health discipline registration requirements, with clearly articulated program outcomes at exit points.
Contemporary learning technologies are used, drawing on mobile learning constructs and exploiting the affordances of iPad, iPhone and iPod technology, as well as other similar innovations.
1. Hold a three year undergraduate degree from a recognised tertiary institution plus industry experience involving continuous professional development as evidenced by at least one of:
2. Hold a three year undergraduate degree from a recognised tertiary institution plus a graduate certificate or graduate diploma in area of specialty clinical practice; or
3. Hold a three year undergraduate degree from a recognised tertiary institution plus be in the position of clinical educator in the health care sector for at least 2 years; or
4. Other undergraduate qualifications where the applicant can demonstrate superior recognition of prior learning (RPL) of continuous professional development in the areas listed in point one above.
The Master of Health Professional Education is a multidisciplinary program aimed at providing educational pathways to health care professionals involved in teaching and learning in health care settings.
To meet the requirements of the award of, Master of Health Professional Education you must complete 96 units of credit. You may eligible for an interim award, the Graduate Diploma of Health Professional Education upon completing 48 units of credit.

A five-day residential school at the beginning of the program will introduce you to the courses and technology that will be used in the delivery of those courses.
The professional award is recognised by employers and employees holding tertiary qualifications in relevant areas are remunerated through their wage structure.
