CQUniversity's Graduate Diploma of e-Learning has been designed to address the online learning needs of teachers and trainers in all fields of education including the K-12, Higher Education, business, industry and corporate fields.
This program is new in 2013 and integrates professional knowledge about learning and technology with practical, experience-based learning. Successful completion of the Graduate Diploma of e-Learning will result in professionals who are able to facilitate and drive institutional learning through Information and Communications Technology (ICT) in distance, blended, and face to face learning contexts.

This new program identifies contemporary practices and technologies to support, enhance and transform learning. The innovative framework, practical application and theoretical foundations delivered throughout this program supports learners in maintaining currency in global learning futures with ICT, and emerging trends in technology-based learning.
The program is flexible and supports individualised learning within each individual’s teaching and training context.
Upon successful completion of this program you will have the technical skills to support learning with ICT, together with the creativity and inventiveness that emerge from strong pedagogical design foundations. The Graduate Diploma of e-Learning is delivered wholly online, with flexibly scheduled synchronous tutorials, and asynchronous interactive and collaborative activities modeled in a range of online spaces.
To be eligible for entry into the Graduate Diploma of e-Learning you must have:
- A bachelors degree in any discipline area OR
- A minimum Certificate IV and 3 years relevant industry training experience OR
- A Graduate Certificate in e-Learning
This program will prepare education professionals to design and facilitate learning in flexible and distance education, one of the fastest growth markets in education and training.
To graduate with a Graduate Diploma of e-Learning you must complete six core courses including:
- learning theory in the digital age
- foundation technological knowledge
- global learning futures
- digital learning design
- online collaboration for learning (not available until 2014)
- contemporary design for authentic e-learning (not available until 2014)
