Bachelor of Tourism

CQUniversity’s new Bachelor of Tourism is designed to offer you the knowledge and skills to have a successful career in the tourism industry. At CQUniversity we think BIG when it comes to tourism education. CQUniversity provides students with cutting edge knowledge through its engagement with the United Nations World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO), Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC), The International Ecotourism Society (TIES) and a range of other international and Australian based industry, academic, government and non-government organisations. Our tourism courses are delivered by internationally experienced practitioners, including members of the ‘Global Panel of Tourism Experts’ appointed by the UNWTO to give strategic policy advice on international tourism issues. At CQUniversity we engage with local and global research and initiatives dedicated to promoting sustainable tourism practices, such as the Larrakia Declaration for advancement of global indigenous tourism.

You are required to complete a total of 24 courses (subjects) including 22 core courses and 2 electives.  You will undertake a number of courses related to Tourism, Management and Marketing such as:

  • Special Interest Tourism
  • Resort and Hotel Management
  • Tourism Policy and Planning
